Who we are

Denkart LLC runs this seminar. Pia Schneider and Alex manage participant information. For privacy questions, corrections or deletion requests, email p.d.b.schneider@gmail.com. This address is checked daily.

Information used for the seminar

We use your name, email address, enrollment and payment confirmation to manage your place, send service emails, and give you access to the seminar.

The reading space stores your reading progress, saved place, highlights, comments and preparation responses. Information you send when contacting us is used to respond to your request.

Enrolling does not add you to a marketing mailing list. We do not sell your information.

What other participants can see

Your name, reading highlights and comments are shared with participants who have access to the seminar. Choosing to hide other participants' annotations in your reader does not make your own contributions private. Do not put information you want to keep private in a shared comment.

Your email address, payment information, reading progress, saved place and preparation responses are not shared with other participants through the reading space. Pia and Alex administer this information, with the services needed to run the seminar.

During live meetings, other attendees can see or hear what you choose to share. Seminar meetings are not recorded.

Services that help run Denkart

Stripe processes payments. Supabase provides account authentication and database storage. Resend delivers service emails, and Vercel hosts the website. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Card details are entered into Stripe's payment form; Denkart's application receives payment identifiers and confirmation rather than storing your full card number.

Our reading-aid preparation tool sends the assigned reading's text, title and author to OpenAI. It does not send participant account information, highlights, comments, reading progress or preparation responses.

Cookies and technical information

We use cookies for sign-in sessions and to connect checkout confirmation to your payment. The reader also saves your text-size preference in your browser. Hosting and payment providers may process technical information to deliver and protect the service.

The Denkart application does not include advertising trackers or cross-site marketing analytics. It does not change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal. Necessary sign-in and checkout storage still operates.

How long we keep information

Reading and study-page access lasts until February 25, 2027, unless your enrollment ends earlier. Closing access does not itself delete your information.

We keep your participant account information and seminar responses for one year after the seminar ends, until November 25, 2027, unless you join another seminar. This retention period also applies to saved reading progress, highlights and comments.

Payment records are kept by Stripe and in our accounting records as required for tax and accounting.

Your requests

You can ask us to correct or delete your information at any time by emailing p.d.b.schneider@gmail.com. Pia receives the request, and Alex carries out the account and seminar-data deletion. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will send you a confirmation when it is complete.

Payment records we're required to keep for tax and accounting may be retained.

Updates

We will post updates to this notice on this page with a new effective date.
